Boy this game is fun, but why does touching a barrier or a metal railing have to be the worst experience in modern gaming? In a game about crashing you've gotta be extra careful to not even TOUCH any of the mentioned. What happens if you do is one of the following:
1. You get instastopped.
2. You get sucked in.
3. You get flung sideways like a freight train hit you.
4. You get flipped over.
5. You get spun.

If there's a definition for annoying and irritating it's gotta be the track walls of wreckfest.

EDIT:
6. I forgot you get stuck in it.
7. You get stuck on top of it listening to the constant crash sound loop.

I'd like to see track design with more terrain instead of railings. They did it right on Crash Canyon with terrain. Imagine that track had railings all around where you get stuck on or get 'instastopped' all the time - that would suck. big time. Not sure why they added all those railings anyway. (probably corner cutting, but terrain can do that too) From a gameplay perspective - I'm not a fan ;) ... quoting myself ...
Ok, I'm just gonna say it... for me those steel barriers (armcos) are currently the biggest buzzkill, because...
- too safe
- no crash action, unlike concrete barriers where we have at least some destructive crash effect
- prevents risky gameplay, maybe go up on 2 wheels and either make it or fail and cause an awesome crash.
- less risk = less thrill = less fun

The simple bump in terrain behind the barrier could provide much more fun gameplay, because it's risky and thus thrilling.

Folkrace tracks don't always have those railings...

agree with op. Strange is some tracks doesn't have this sticky problem but other has. Does barriers has different settings?

Bugbear could think about using those new "rolling barriers" - could be interesting gameplay, at least you're not getting stopped instantly as soon as you touch them. :) Maybe on the outside of an oval it would not be that advisable - people could just wall-ride with 300 km/h :P

Haha yeah I have to agree. pretty much sums it up lately. we need a Wreckfest hardcore mode, with cuts available!
