Time for another Saturday Night Mods night. Here the details:

Old Wreckfest texture files   -   texture files needed for some the tracks

The Very TrackPack  -  needed for Nevada Depot Figure 8 and Warehouse Derby

Trackfest  -  fig 8 tracks with props :)

Figure 8 Track Pack - P44   -   some rough and tumble fig 8 tracks   

Ragdoll Mod (All Car Edition) ragdoll drop

Resets:  OFF - This is fig 8 racing!!!


Should buy the cars you need before joining server, since we can't swap parts online or buy cars. Do you bring a tough, beefy car or a nimble car to win a fig8 race?


Event could go 2-3 hours or maybe longer. Who knows!

Note:
Also, be warned that tracks that have a 2 way round about ( Mud Fig8, Nevada Depot Fig8 and Derby8 Ramp Jump ) will now trigger a red circle if go opposite side of AI.



Bugbear decide to get rid of the loop checkpoint that let a player cross checkpoint in either direction. To fix this, I will have to someday make alt routes for these  2 way round abouts.  :(

You can still take either route around the round abouts, if trigger red circle, keep going. Red circle will disappear and lap will still count.

GRID Oval 2 Figure 8 - This track base on the GRID 1 derby figure 8 track, think jump ramps. :)
Mud Pit Figure 8 - Figure 8 track uses the Mud arena.
Gravel Figure 8 - Figure 8 track using the inside of the Gravel track, think off-road.
Nevada Depot Figure 8 - Figure 8 track using End's Nevada Depot track, watch out for them trains!
Warehouse Derby - Derby in the Nevada Depot warehouse.
Oval 1 long Figure 8 - Figure 8 track using the Speedway 1 oval track.
Figure 8 Derby Ramps - Figure 8 track using the big derby ramps.
Figure 8 Derby Ramp Jump - Figure 8 track jumping between 2 derby ramps.
Tarmac Figure 8 - Figure 8 track using the old Tarmac 1 track.

Hurtfull Five - Flower-shape Figure 8 track design done by Very End, many crossings!

Should I add this to the mod list, if mod play well with the track mods?

The Fig 8 mod been updated. All the tracks working again, but some tracks maybe crash first time, restart track again, usually track run then. Still working on a new Double Fig8 track, hope have it done Friday and uploaded with some custom skins from Zeb.



Also going add the ragdoll mod to mod list for Saturday.  :D



Note:

Race time in 6 hours.

I still working on Fig8 mod. Working on damage file now, so you guys can survive more than 2 laps on new Double Fig8 track, if nobody lands on your roof!! There going be a few death from above DNF on this new track. Track almost finish, then maybe I have time to try fix 3Jump Ramp track that got broke with the Feb build.

Will try and upload final version of Fig8 mod for tonight by 5:00pm pacific, 7:pm eastern to give you guys time down load new update and get a little testing in.

Got two cars skinned for mod nite.

#1.  -  First is the El Matador done up with classy faux woodgrain applique sides - yes, it's a Woody! 

Some intrepid car designer in the 1960s and 1970s decided fake vinyl woodgrain signified American luxury. These skins are a homage to that person.

i also made the cargo bed floor with a knotty pine look.

There's one that's nice and shiny - like 12 coats of hand rubbed DuPont Lucite lacquer paint.

The other uses Bugbear's worn skin layer for a more abused look. The cargo bed pine is stained.

There is a roof livery that matches a couple of chrome trim strips I added.

#2. - The 11_european Bulldog dressed up in dog fur with a bone in it's mouth.

Five minor variations: One thing to note is that the lyric phrase and the Bugbear logo on the trunk (and underside the trunk lid) require that the correct livery is in place and that the base and livery colors must be in contrast.

So
- Move On Over skin requires Move on Over livery.
- messin'  skin and Nazareth skin require Messin' livery.
- Either livery works with other two cars.

 - make contrasting base and livery colors for best results - livery color is the text color and base color is text background.

I was going to thin out the choices and fix the colors, but we'll see how folks do with the liveries and colors thing.  8)

Final update for Fig8 mod is uploaded. Restart your Steam to make sure trigger download. Then start Wreckfest even if you don't see anything happen. Enable all the correct mods in correct order:

Then for test, start custom event, scroll right, should see a fig8 icon now instead of construction icon. Then you know mod up to date.

Be sure check out the customs skins from the Fig8 mod, most are for the older cars thou. Get your skin picked for the cars you going use before joining. Try get some practice in if u can, like the new Derby Double Fig8 track.

We had good turn out! :)

But about half my fig8 tracks crash server when we got going at start of race :( the new Builds have made my Fig8 tracks more unstable online :( they run better offline, still can crash, but not as much ).  :(

Good thing we also had Ricky Trackfest fig8 mod!! We never crash any the Trackfest tracks and got some good racing in on them! :)

Thanks guys for rejoining server after crashing server so much!! I thought I was going lose you all, but most of you guys stay the few hours we race. :)  We call it a night about midnight pacific time.

Will do up a video and nrv2fst took some video, too. :)

Next Saturday Night Mods night is Sat April 14. Will host the GoKart Plus mod after I do some fixing.
