Hello @all,

I would like to create my own server, but unfortunately nobody sees my created server.

I checked all the settings in the router, in the firewall and in the game. But I can not find a mistake. As a firewall and virus program I use Bitdefender Internet Security 2018. Both game files are released including ports.

Please look into my attached files. I hope you can help me.

I also tested 33530 UDP port. But without success. My iPv4 address is also correct. And i use Wreckfest in x64 Mode.

Many many thanks for your help.

Best regards, Thomas

Does your ISP give you real external IP?

Suggest do a forum search for iPv4. There a few posts talking about iPv4.

Do you have an IPv4 address via DS-Lite tunnelling ? If so, you might not be able to host.

I get a fixed IP address, which changes only monthly. I am using a cable modem (CH7466CE) from my provider (Vodafone). But it is the Bridgemode enabled, because I use my own Wifi router behind it. The PC hangs on the Wifi router.

In the past, I could easily play the host. With the same hardware.

I hope you understand me.  ;) Sorry for my bad english.

I do not use DS-Lite tunneling. I do not know what that means.  :(

I have only enabled the bridge mode in my cable router to use my own Wifi router. The PC therefore depends on the Wifi router.

In the Wifi router, I have released the ports. As in the past too.

Are you using the WiFi part of WiFi router or you using a cable from modem to router?

WiFi, Wreckfest and going online not a good mix. And to use WIfi with a server, I would think you going be slowing down the transfer of data back out to the other players, maybe causing lag.

Hi,

no, my PC is connected via cable with the WiFi Router. I use WiFi only for our Mobile Phones or for our TV.
My computer is not capable of Wifi.

My Specs: http://www.sysprofile.de/id27033

Otherwise, you have no idea, right?

Best regards,

Thomas

I had a problem like that. I fixed it by connecting my pc to the service provider's modem.

Since it not WIFi causing the problem, could be anti-virus, fire wall issue. Might try disabling any anti-virus, fire wall program to see if any of these programs block your server from being seen online.

Also have you tried just a player host to see if your computer is seen online? Just click the create sever button at bottom of Multiplayer window. Maybe server config file not setup right?

And have you read through this thread to see if there anything in there that might you?

How To Setup A Dedicated Server or Servers

There is a server manager software you might want to try:  http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=712825572&searchtext=

I was assuming he isn't using the dedicated server but hosting through the game.

But if using dedicated server it would be good to post the server config file.

So, Windows Firewall and Bitdefender Firewall incl. Anti-Virus was disabled, but no chance. My server is not visible for other people. I have tested with a friend in steam.

I have tested different server configurations. No chance... :-(

Next I test the Didicated Server. He is already subscribed. Wish me luck, otherwise I have no idea.

Happy New Year @all.  ;)

Hello @all,

I have the solution. In the cable modem from Vodafone the bridge mode was disabled. With Bridge Mode enabled, hosting will work properly. My servers are also seen. The Dedi server works as well.

Another question. Is it known if hosting works under IPv6? Under activated bridge mode, I still get an IPv4 address.

Many thanks for your help.

Best regards,

Thomas
