Author Topic: Need help with vague export error  (Read 130 times)

I've been trying to get a track mod exported from Max to Scne, but when going from bgo3 to scne I get an Assert failed error in bgo2scne at (I assume) line 1475 with "c0". Nothing in the file has a name of c0. I have been trying to fix this by deleting stuff until it exports which has lead me to one object being a cause but deleting only that object makes the error stay. There are no custom properties on it, and the material setup is the same as other objects that work as well as being an editable mesh.
Could I get some insight as to what causes this error? Thanks.

Could you post the exact error message or screenshot of it? :)

I guess we won't ever get access to check more in the source code of bugtools to troubleshoot these stuff ourselves?

I've attached a screenshot to this post, as you can see, it isn't very helpful as to what the problem is.

Do you have AI paths in scene?

Yes, however they aren't the problem as it can export with the paths still in

It looks like a problem with materials, apparently register c0 is TEXTUREID_AMBIENT_COLOR.

Might be a object which is not connected to a material then or a bugged material. Try assigning every object again to a material.

Well then, it appears that I can't actually fix the error in a reasonable time frame due to A) not knowing what materials are causing the error and B) there's 250 textures

If there aren't too many, check all the terrain blend materials since the suspect should be hiding in those.
