I have had to replace the Power supply in a couple of computers and they displayed strange behaviors from game or program crashes to rebooting themselves.

Just a thought, is there a program to test the Power supply unit?
Two things you can't really test are power supplies and motherboards. I very highly doubt either one is the issue in this case. More likely PCIe issues with motherboard than PSU. But seeing two times the same issue from 1080Ti owners looks interesting.

I changed my Power Supply not even one year ago and now im using this      https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/550-Watt-be-quiet--Dark-Power-Pro-11-Modular-80--Platinum_1012922.html

But it worked fine it cant be my power supply right ?
My Mainboard is a little bit older ... but its pretty weird that only 1080Ti users seem to have this problem.

FYI
So i still dont know the problem but i just changed my CPU to a 8700K and the game runs now smooth for me.
I have put the old CPU in another PC and the game played awesome so it wasnt the 4790K. Idk sometimes it just seems to be magic.

Sounds like some software or driver issue.

Hello hornspeed, I have the exact same problems since ages.
I am also running a 1080ti. Do you have the 1080ti paired with your 8700k again?

Its very suspicious, that so many 1080tis have performance issues.

Please make a very short list with the hardware changes you did. I originally had the MSI 1080ti gaming x 11gb
GTX 1080TI @ 2050mhz - watercooled
i5-4690K@4.9Ghz - watercooled
