Saw interesting idea by someone on Steam forums. What if DNF (destroyed) cars had a small % chance of leaking oil to the track? Which would be considerably slippery, and stay there for remainder of race

Maybe not a good thing for the cars that under-steer that are still racing? How about after a period of time maybe one minute, the DNF car explodes, and spews out parts onto the track? just throwing out an idea :)

The immobile DNF cars are kind of nice imo, since they "change" the track/ideal line in surprising ways. And if you memorize their position, you can make adjustments to your line on later laps. It's kind of interesting twist imo. If they would explode that would be kind of neat, but on the other hand then the obstacle would be gone.

But yeah, maybe oil puddles would become more annoying than fun, hard to say. Some ideas sound fun on paper but are not fun in reality, might be one of those

Exploding cars I don't like, too Holywood. But occasional oil puddles could be amusing. They'd be under the cars, so only come to light if a wreck was shoved away from it.

And it would have to be mainly effective on tarmac, on gravel and mud it should have only a minor to hardly any effect.

Good points. And gravel would indeed absorb the oil
