Everytime I launch the game it crashes / shuts down on the splash screen.

1)  Verified the installation files from Steam. 10 files found and fixed. Same result.
2) Re installed product
3) Tried launching without mods
4) Physically removed the folder from the file system.

This issue surfaced about a week after enabling some mods. However the game was running fine with the mods up until that.
No idea what to do here, I cannot even play the game. Im guessing I am not uninstalling everything I need to un install for this to go away?

Try renaming this folder:   C:\Program Files (x86)Steam\userdata\[YOUR UNIQUE USER ID]\228380\local\wreckfest

To something like \wreckfest-test.

This where the save files are kept for Wreckfest. One these files maybe gone bad, like modlist.mods file. Maybe just need to delete the modlist.mods file and have Wreckfest make you a new one.
Flatout Joint, where the mods were.

Did you rename folder back and deleted modlist file to see if it was just a bad modlist file?

If this all that wrong, you can keep your career progress and the cars you bought.
