Server operators, how often do you reboot your online server?

1. Once every 24 hours?
2. Every 2 days?
3. Every 4 days
or
4. Once a week?

Server operators, do you find your server can get laggy after awhile, where players start getting steering lag, even if they have low PING to your server??

Once a week or once in two weeks. Or when someone sends message that server lags.

We have a Finnish league (Sunday Night Wreckfest) which is (almost) every second weekend, depends do we have a league running or not.
I've always restarted server before races starts, so players would have as lag-less races as possible.

I don't run it 24/7, but it does seem to go a bit wonky after its been running for awhile. Got Ur Sixx restarts his servers each day because of weird lag issues, and it seems to unclog the pipes temporarily.

Thanks for posting guys. Been talking to Janne about the Official US #3 server, both Saturdays I join this Wreckfest server, experience steering lag ( with a 50-60 PING ) and other players were experiencing steering lag too.  :(

I was telling Janne, I think server need to be rebooted. But THQ handles the official servers.

If first time online player with Wreckfest join an Official server and start getting steering lag, they going quit the server ( saw it both Saturdays I join ) and maybe get turn off of racing online if they don't try one the non-official servers.  :(

When someone complains that its lagging, or when i login and see the console is full of errors.
Once every 3-5 days maybe. Once a day is probably a good idea for official servers though if used 24/7. Mine are 24/7 but 99% of players are GMT

scheduled restart everyday at 7am. Works fine unless sometimes the server has been going hard for more than 12 hours then I'll do a quick manual one to avoid input like like you mention

At least once a day if its had some use.

Server gets laggy after about 7-8 hours if busy. the lag doesn't seem ping dependent, i feel it with less than 5 ping.

Servers up 24/7 so try and restart them every 24 hours or so, stops lag and rubber banding creeping in.

Testing this week to see if THQ reboot US server #3 daily.

If THQ is rebooting Official servers daily, I wonder if the issue could be CPU relative? Are servers using a good single thread CPU for these servers THQ using or renting?

One day down and no reboot of US server #3.

My testing welcome massage is still there. If server had been rebooted, message be back to the stock THQ message.

Hmmm, today when I checked online, all 3 US official WF servers not in the server list. I see the EU official servers, but no US servers.

I just check online and still no US official servers. Has THQ decided to permanently take down the US official servers?

There 6 EU official servers in the server list.

Can anybody report back if the EU EU official servers have steering lag too, even with good PING? Or are the EU official servers running just fine?
