I've always had all the 3 FlatOuts on retail disks, not on Steam. Now, that I got a new PC a month ago, I'd like to install FlatOut 1 on it. I have heard of bootup crashes regarding Fo2, but is this an issue with Fo? Can I just install the game from the disk wihtout any problems, or is there something I should know? I also need a good NoCD patch for it... Any help is appreciated!

Hi Nokikana, you would not want Steam version of Flatout 1, it v1.0, has not been patch at all, like Euro v1.1, US v1.2.

With my Win7 I use FOv3 mod which uses the noCD v1.1 Euro exe. V1.1 Flatout.exe is must common Flatout version used online. A US v1.2 Flatout 1 can not join a Euro v1.1 online or vice virus. But thanks to FOv3 mod my US v1.2 become compatible with players using Euro v1.1. :)

If not taking Flatout 1 online, then don't matter if you have US or Euro version, but might want to get a noCD v1.1 or v1.2 depending on what version you got so don't have to have disk in drive after installing Flatout 1.

Can not tell ya if there any problems running Flatout 1 with Win8.

Flatout Joint, where the mods were.
