BB, you gotta to make more color option available ingame... I went jealous when I saw that beautiful green and pearl scheme!

Gief before I mess with my color codes too  :D

Indeed having the possibility, to make/edit color of cars would be great.

Imagining this appearing ingame in final product as a 'hard to get' prize...   :o

woooh! lookie what I found!

The second car appears blue because I loaded it in slot 2
I also found the American Muscle skins for each slot...

skin 10 = style 1
skin 11b = style 2
skin 7 = style 3
skin 5 = style 4
skin 12 = style 5

Here's the images for the other skins:
(The skins seem to be mainly for decal, stripe, and auxiliary paint stuff)
skin [1]
The #27 car graphics

skin 2
The #26 car graphics

skin 3
The #73 car graphics (has flag on the hood)

skin 4
The #53 car graphics (may look better in other colors)

I got a request over at the Steam forum for the purple skin files I use, so posting links here:

http://www.lay-zmattress.com/flatout2/purple44/Next%20Car%20Game/skin%20test/earlyacc_red.vhcp

http://www.lay-zmattress.com/flatout2/purple44/Next%20Car%20Game/skin%20test/earlyacc_blue.vhcp

Take these 2 files:

earlyacc_blue.vhcp
earlyacc_red.vhcp

And drop these 2 files into this folder:

E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Bugbear Entertainment\data\property\cars\paint

Before doing this, rename the stock files to something like this:

earlyacc_blue-stock.vhcp
earlyacc_red-stock.vhcp

So you do not overwrite them.

Be sure to read this whole thread Snoman to learn how this tweak is done ( like my post #22 ). Who knows, you may want to try a different color or swap in some AI skins.  ;)

That's pretty cool, but for me it defeats the purpose if not everyone can see it ;)

Can see it if I put it into a video.  ;)

But ya, have to agree. I do hope come final version of Wreckfest we will have the option to change the color of the cars in-game. I think this will happen. Would like a more robust livery editor like we saw in Test Drive Unlimited 2, but doubt that will happen.
