I'd love 4WD cars. Only that they might be bit overpowered since they have more control, but why not make the possibility to restrict the usage. Similar to "American Cars only", you could tick a box with "no 4WD cars allowed".

But FWD cars are a must.
Maybe you can chose to separate cars from Trucks SUVs and Vans, so everything is balanced.
Nope, if it's going to be a truck or suv, it needs it's own class and it needs to be rwd. You won't see ANY derby allowing 4wd.

The more options the better, because I'd like to race trucks and cars, and you wouldn't. With options, everyone can be happy!

At the technical point of view 4WD isn't that OP eventually. Because added weight due extra diferential or two and other parts it needs, and 4WD is very power hungry system with almoust double of moving  parts to cause resist to the engine.

And what comes to SUV's, thosa are high weight vehicles with high central gravity.
Also would like to see posibility to change cars drive config so you can make 4WD American muscle etc.
With different kind of differentials and systems to choose like; 50/50, torsen and so on.

Have you ever been to a derby in real life? 4wd cars would have a gigantic advantage. Mainly with traction. I'm kinda sick with telling people that cars shouldn't run with trucks. Seems you just don't care about realism

I think you should be able to pick what you want to race or derby against. So if people do or don't want to race against 4wd drive vehicles then the don't have to.

No, I haven't been in derby IRL. But I'm here at the point of view of circuit racing. Where same power and weight RWD is better than 4WD at tarmac and probably even mixed tracks, due 4WDs massive understeer. But yeah of course on loose surface and short accelerations 4WD is better due extra grip. I think 4WDs are more vulnerable at derbies because of more moving parts to broke and system spreading every corner of the car? But dunno haven't been there. And actually I care about realism but just looking it from different angle. I just wanna see 4WDs in the game and want it done well with good balance with pros and cons.

I'm against 4x4s, be it on a car or a jeep. I think everything will be fine with FWD and RWD, why have obviously OP on dirt 4x4's?

Variety will be given with all the parts you can add to your vehicle.

You cant race 4x4's/SUV's at normal banger meetings due to ride height and limited to RWD (unlimiteds) FWD/RWD (nationals)
Im with brian though.Id rather see 20 car/pickups/hearse/limos/coupe/saloons/estate/ambulances/flower cars/small vans that can all compete. No separate specialist classes as vanilla. Save the Big vans/4x4's/buses/coaches/3 wheelers/trucks for dlc/mod support.

Maybe not 4x4's but 4wd cars would be perfect.

You cant race 4WD either.Only on their own at once/twice a year meetings. You have a traction advantage and harder to kill off,as seen in the video where back wheels off the floor but front wheels still driving. Same reason they dont allow FWD in unlimited bangers, otherwise people would be racing strong modern crap i.e ford mondeos in all classes.Rather than the more exotic luxury saloons/estates/variants that people want to see raced.

We'll you can't have a Muscle car and a Fiat in a demoliton debt either.

True, but they are both RWD cars. So you could race them together if you were brave enough. Equally matched racing wise, although the fiat is realistically far to strong in game. Whereas 4WD/High ride height truck vs 2WD car is not evenly balanced in racing or crashing.

Again, I've seen a3rd gen camaro and a Volvo together in a derby. I've seen plenty of over built compact cars run with fullsize because they were welded too heavy for the compact class.
