Now that Flatout Joint doors are close, some like Papote, been wondering where they can get some customs cars for the FOV3 mod which comes without any customs cars.

So I talk with Heddly and put together a rar file of bfs files that I hosted with:

Archives = {
      [1] = "FOV3-Patches/fov3.bfs",
      [2] = "FOV3-CustomCars/HeddlysFOV3Pack.bfs",
      [3] = "FOV3-CustomCars/Hedllys_FOV3_CP2.bfs",
      [4] = "FOV3-CustomCars/5buickgtsfov3.bfs",
      [5] = "FOV3-Patches/fov3overrite.bfs",
      [6] = "FOV3-Patches/fig8 track pack.bfs",
}

Here the video of us online:

Here the Moddb link:   Heddly carpack for FOv3 community mod

This mod is for the FOv3 mod for Flatout 1, so if you don't have it yet, download it here:

http://www.moddb.com/downloads/foj-community-fov3-mod-gold-edition

Here the readme:

Readme for installing Heddly carpack and Purple44 trackpack for FOv3 mod From Flatout Joint.

1. First you need the FOv 3 mod. You need to download FOV3_EXE_Installer.exe From Moddb:

http://www.moddb.com/downloads/foj-community-fov3-mod-gold-edition

From FOv3 mod readme:

After downloading,
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 1= Create an FOV3 folder. ( E:\FOv3 mod )

 2= Copy your common1.bfs and the common2.bfs files from your FlatOut game folder to the FOV3 folder.

 3= Move the FOV3EXE_installer.rar to the FOV3 folder. Right clicking it will give options on where to extract the files. Choose Here.

 4=  Or just double click FOV3_EXE_Installer. This will install the files needed to run FOV3.

 5=  Double click the FlatOut(no-cd).exe and play the game

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Be sure to test FOv3 mod with Heddy profile and make sure FOv3 mod running OK.

If you already have FOv3 installed and have your own new profile with the cheat codes already activated to unlock all the cars and tracks ( type in GIVEAll, then GIVECASH, then type user name, then select done when doing a new profile  ), then you could copy your FOv3 mod folder and paste it to the hard drive where you install your games ( E:\ ) and then rename the copy folder ( E:\FOv3 mod with carpack ).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Now move\copy Heddly-carpack-FOv3.rar file to the FOv3 mod folder you want to use. Then right click file and select Extract Here. Click Yes when ask to overwrite the cars.ini and patch.ini files. Your done.

Now if you got a profile that using the cheat code GIVEALL and have Custom Cars option set to ON in the FOv3 options menu, you should see the custom cars listed first in car select menu.

Be warn the car skins in the car select menu don't look as good as the real skin in a race\derby. The car menu skins were a pain in the butt for car modders to do!!

Give the Figure 8 and Asphalt Track Pack for FOv3 readme a read to learn about these new tracks for FOv3 mod.

This is what your patch.ini file should look like:

Archives = {
      [1] = "FOV3-Patches/fov3.bfs",
      [2] = "FOV3-CustomCars/HeddlysFOV3Pack.bfs",
      [3] = "FOV3-CustomCars/Hedllys_FOV3_CP2.bfs",
      [4] = "FOV3-CustomCars/5buickgtsfov3.bfs",
      [5] = "FOV3-Patches/fov3overrite.bfs",
      [6] = "FOV3-Patches/fig8 track pack.bfs",
}

Carpack includes Stage1's Buick and Par T Chilli's Trackmaster tires. :)

Thanks to this site, Wayback Machine, Flatout joint still lives on some what. You can pick a day in the past and see what we were up to back then at Flatout Joint. This site did not backup everything, no download links will work and some threads only have the first page backup.
