Hi, Sorry if this has been covered but I've been reading and re-reading this thread for ages and I've not found the answer to this...

How are you all converting the game's .BMAP files into something editable in photoshop? I'm sure the answer is in bagedit somewhere but I could use a "converting bmap's for dummies"

The example car handily comes with .TGA files for its textures but the other cars in game don't, can anyone help?

After you finish your .tga you use bimage.exe to turn it back into a .bmap.

bimage.exe is in your Wreckfest folder in the Tools subfolder.

It uses a command line. That's pretty simple. Just ask if you get stalled.

Good start!

There's collected information at:
http://community.bugbeargames.com/index.php/topic,7925.0.html

Citizenerased made some U-V maps listed in the first post, including one for this car that still fits. more or less. it's listed as muscle 3 in that post.

I like to use the U-V maps as transparent layers to help align graphics. Hope we can get UV maps for all the cars once Bugbear finalizes the cars and optional parts.

Oh, yeah - give that collected skinning info thread a bump. it's back to page 2 already.   :D

I wrote up a step-by-step for Paint.net.

I'll post it in that Collected Skinning info thread.

Ignore some of the very old posts there because things may have changed with recent updates.

    Heck yeah!

I'm making an all Hotshot career series.

I'm also taking the Bulldog, removing the rear spoiler, adding the bumpers, and otherwise turning it into a late 1940s American fastback/fleetline.

That also gets a series plus another series with both the Hotshot and modified Bulldog in it.

Also making a day with just the regular Bulldog plus the Hammerhead wagon.

    Really like the Bulldog too.

I'll at least publish the all Hotshot career series.

A screenshot of an all Hotshots race.

I'm tempted to make a version with older wheels.

Sounds good. I have a couple of skins each for Dr. Destructo's old '40 Ford and 57 Chevy mod cars that he took down. I'll have to fit them to the Hotshot and the standard or modified Bulldog some day.
