I've started out with a new FlatOut 2 installation, since my previous one had a load of crappy texture mods I did without backing up the original files.
But then I remembered that FlatOut Joint site was already gone. I'm just hoping that someone backed up stuff from there other than the FOJ Community mod.

I had this mod on my previous installation, it added settings for Single Player races which allowed me to set the number of laps, the damage scale, the opponent cars, and etc. I'm also looking for some tool which unpacks the game for easy modding, and a bfs unpacker just in case.

EDIT: I somehow still have the game unpacker and got the game unpacked now. I just need the SP Race Options and a bfs unpacker for individual bfs packs.

Does anyone still have them?

Our Community mod for Flatout 2 has the single player options. But no unpacking our modded files for community mod, the bfs files have been locked.

http://www.moddb.com/mods/foj-community-mod

Thanks for the response. Could anyone perhaps upload some files if the worst comes to the worst?  ModDB and sites like that have weird outdated files.
Thanks if possible.

The only mod in the download section at Moddb for our FOJ Community Mod for Flatout 2 that is out of date, is the DD Pack Final for FOJ Community Mod*. My derby pack is now in part 5 of Community mod.

http://www.moddb.com/mods/foj-community-mod/downloads

Be sure to download all 5 parts of Community mod:

patch1.bfs
FOJs_Community_Mod.bfs
FOJs_Community_Mod_Trackpack1.bfs
FOJs_Community_Mod_Carpack1.bfs
FOJs_Carpack2_and_updates.bfs
FOJs_Community_Mod_Updates2.bfs

You can add the other mods to the bottom of this patch file if you want too:

Carpack 3 for FOJ Community Mod - FOJ_C_MOD_Carpack3_addon.bfs
GRID\Fig8 trackpack - GRID-fig8-jup-trackpack.bfs
PurplePack for Community Mod - PurplePack.bfs

Got any questions, let me know.

Well, I already know the FOJ Community mod is in ModDB but thanks for the help.  I kinda miss being able to download individual mods for the vanilla game and unpack them with the bfsunpacker tool (which had a cute little animated Bugbear logo on it) :(

You don't happen to have a backup of any other files from that site like standalone skin mods or car templates for skinning?

@ Purple, you can unpack the BFS files for the FOJ Community Mod for FO2. You may be thinking of the FlatOut FOV3 Mod.

@ dbs213, I have some files from FOJ on my MediaFire account that I can add some links to. Maybe I will create a thread for FOJ Community Mod Files.

I see this is a bit of an older thread but figured I would put this out there.

Most of the sites for FO1 and 2 are long dead. I started putting some of my custom cars on a free site for tripod back in 2007-2008.
Here is a link to some of those.

You can also find some of my old screen shots on photobucket at

This is a mix of FO2 and other custom car/counterstrike stuff I was working on at the time.

Looking forward to Wreckfest modding.
All my old FO2 mods that are still on the net.

Hello ETc_Gabriel, good to see your name again, I saved a lot of FO1 and FO2 files.

Your Challenger O7 was a big favorite car in FO2. Will it be possible to see in Wreckfest?  :)

Woow, this model is amazing, actually the model that I converted, was the 2007 was still a concept at the time, I think.

Let me recall how do the conversion, if I adapt well and have good results, I return to post here (do not remember much, is several years haha)

Hello Hedlly, I posted almost hopeless, was feeling fine lack of FlatoutJoint but now regained my expectations, perhaps back better than before haha

I managed to do a mod on flatout 1 (how many good feelings it brought me), but I caught some problems in parts that do not appear in the game haha, I will post here, when I have some progress.

A big thanks for the link  8)

Hello ETc,

The problem with parts that do not appear in the game, most often, it is that the model has too many polys. 20k total polygons is the approximate limit for FO1 and FO2 car models.

If your model is close to the limit, delete parts that are not visible in the game. Hope this helps.
