I used to play Wreckfest. I played it a lot. I liked it.

But a year ago I bought myself an Oculus DK2, and I drifted away. Sadly - and I am sad about this - I can't play a racing game now without VR. It's just not the same.

There are others like me too. There are lots of people with VR and not enough fun games to keep them occupied.

So how about looking at VR? Didn't you update to DX11?

Some VR support might just get an influx of players, and spike in sales.

I'd be back in a heartbeat.

rFactor2 - VR support
Assetto Corsa - VR support
Project CARS - VR support
DiRT - VR support

I would come back and give Wreckfest another go if it had VR support. Not looking hopeful though.

Big fan of wreckfest and sadly I have to say the same. Without VR support growing number of "serious" drivers, like me, just pick another game to participate. Still, with nicely done VR, I think, the possibilities are huge with Wreckfest! Please add support for the sake of your own done work. I would like to enjoy it in future too.

Any news on this? Just got myself a rift and I would love to try Wreckfest in VR!

It's a pity this game does not have VR support.  Nearly every driving sim has VR support.  What gives, Bugbear?  For a developer to neglect such a perfect feature for a driving game in today's gaming climate is just bizarre and strange.

I'll be getting an Oculus Rift soon, probably. This game would rock in VR and would also be unique for that experience! I hope it will be considered after full launch.

FYI
You didn't mention VR : is it in the "And a lot more" dot ? Or is it a no go ? (is there even a definitive answer ? :p)

Nope, not about VR :) We're still on the fence regarding it.

EDIT: Added the question.

It would be great with a more "arcadey" VR racing game now that VR is finally taking off. That (and split screen) would give people a reason buying this game over Forza Horizon.

I totally agree with you.
I also want VR so badly in Wreckfest. Especially VR in a wrecking game sounds so great and fun to me!

I also joined the VR crowd. For racing games this is now a must for me. But I disagree with most racing games supporting VR. This is still new tech. Dirt only supports Oculus (supports as in official) and Dirt 4 doesn't even do that anymore.

I am not really able to enjoy racing on flat monitors that much anymore, but can understand the technical challenges of implementing VR, especially with the challenges of deforming vehicles and motion sickness solutions.

Still I am up for it!
