If arlington is the first in the set then yes.

On wimbledon and ringwood too. Not on the other tracks and not before your light mód.
So it must be the lights.

I think the light sources give these rectangular flaws.

Some engine sounds are missing, like 59 Mk2's engine. I don't know if it's just me.
Lights are working fine for me, though! Night weather looks surprisingly decent and I didn't notice any decrease in performance. Only thing missing for the oval tracks now is background scenery (hills or something)

That's right. A background scenery like in "Eve of destruction".  EDIT: Mmh. It was not even completely dark there.  :)

You have added cars. Do you came across the cars coordinate system while working on them ?

EDIT:
On Fig 8 big arena the mod AI cars stop after some laps behind a wrecked? car (orange car). But it does not seemed wrecked (no smoke).

I have pushed it out of the way but they won't drive around and start continuing.
Can you do something against that ?

@TheEngiGuy: you are right, the 59 mk2 is using a outdated soundbank. I think all the other engines should have engine sounds though. Will fix that.
I agree also about the surroundings,maybe could use a simple updated skybox since most of these tracks are in pretty boring locations IRL. TVE did have a load of mountains on ringwood and kingslynn at one point for stylistic purposes. But they were removed due to complaints about accuracy.

I did have a look at your thread about the blue smoke. You are editing emitters i think? and trying to adjust their location. Im not sure if it's related to a dummy object on bugbears models,which maybe isnt in the same place on each car. So you cant adjust the global positioning,unless you changed the positioning on all the cars.
It's not really something i have looked into on cars or setup,since the mod bangers use cut exhausts,meaning you cant see the backfire etc effects anyway.

Are you sure the orange car isnt DNF? the effects are pretty minor compared with default



The ai are not great so it could also be that.

I tried the mod in single player, subscribed, started game, chose the  85' mk granny s and selected it in the car market in the menu, went to the racing/custom event/uk ovals/ringwood and the menu there was only stock game cars to choose. Where do you find the custom cars? is it a seperate download that I didn't see in the track description? Really like the lights, thanks.

Do you mean the ai heddly? there is a couple of ai classes for that.
Or do you mean the player car? are you sure you purchased it and didn't just preview in the market.

Im not sure about the orange car tbh. The ai are just bodged at the minute. Will probably look into setting up some decent ai and career mode etc once wreckfest is completed. As you know online racing is the real deal :)

You cant open the cars to look at them unless you have the original files. Which you cant get hold of other than the AM4.

You can manually edit the vehicle model using bagedit though. But as with any mod that uses official content,bugbear change the model,add/remove parts files = you have to re-edit the new version of the model. And editing models also makes your mod no longer anti-cheat friendly.


Thats the exhaust emitter on 1 car. z= forward y=up.

Thank you. You are right about the possible changes until final version and the cheat trigger.

I have seen that you use Blender to get a 3D model on some older modding threads.
>Models you export as .bgo3 > drop .bgo3 onto asset_builder.bat (in /tools) to create .scne/.vhcl

There was a Blender BGO3 Export tool. But the download is gone.

I had a look at the body.vhcl file and the dummies before but there were only the exhaust.
I think there must be a new emitter dummy for the engine smoke/fire effect.
I have to check again.

I had tried to use the exhaust flames to use for smoke but then there is some pop up blue smoke even when the car is 100%.
I wanted it to start smoking if engine is damaged from yellow on.

But I don't want to spam your thread.  :)

You can only use it to export to game formats though,not import game models. So you need the car model in a native format,AM4 model is inside /mods/example but none of the other cars are available.
There is a emitter position for engine also, if i remember rightly it is the engine damage sector.

To change when the effect happens, is where it will start to get complicated. You would have to either modify the mechanical damage scales within the health file (so it takes longer to reach damage state 1/2/3) for global settings. Or you would have to find where the emitters for each state are stored and adjust each. Easy solution is maybe find out what the 'pop up blue smoke' emitter file is named,and simply disable it.

Don't know if it matters but I only download and enabled Online Bangers : Wreckfest (18/03/2018), Then I went here Online Bangers:Wreckfest (multiplayer) and downloaded all 4 mods for online play and enabled them just in case I needed them.

I have an AMD Radeon GPU and made a video, the graphic glitch seems to be around the outside of the track, mostly the track texture itself. Hope this helps

No problem Heddly,its easy to make that mistake now with car buying. Its certainly a AMD issue, everyone with the same problem has a AMD card. Not sure what i can do to resolve it other than maybe some different light settings,. Worst case scenario i could maybe do a patch for AMD only users, that makes night weather use day time settings. So you don't see the lights? would be online safe aswell i think.

Although bugbear are planning to use these lights in their garage,in which case you're gonna have the same problems there, so maybe they will be able to help resolve it in the long run anyway?

Shouldn't matter what you downloaded really. Basically the online bangers mod is self contained, the other mods are all track packs that work with the bangers. Online bangers mod should go last on your mod list so that any settings track makers have included are overwritten by the bangers mod. So no unusual surface settings etc.

Thanks for the info, BB needs to work on the AMD part of the game or they may loose a lot of purchases because of it when it becomes more known of.  ;)

-removed damaged_normal.dset (reverted to bugbear health loss)

 Banger mod update is out


-Added skin and livery ui icons
-Added 6+ liverys per car (thanks repress,sp,ripple,stunmanlee,mole,monk,devon)
-Disabled health bar (thanks st jimmy)
-Updated mk2 and s2 xj6 jag interiors
-Set realistic damage health loss to match normal damage
-Added classic hotrods 'slicks' tire profile
