Author Topic: Instant FPS drop after update  (Read 239 times)

well, after the update i got max. 4 FPS in game and in the main menu. Before the update something about 120 FPS.

Allready verified the gamefiles through Steam.

Got Windows 10 Pro 64bit
Geforce GTX 960 2GB
16 GB of RAM
Intel Core i5 3570 @ 3,40 GHz

Anyone got the same issue and know how to fix it?

I have the 960 with 4 MB vram and I'm still getting good FPS 40-100 depending on the track.

Using High instead of Ultra grass now:

I wonder if the 2 MB vram is enough for the resolution you using? If you lower your resolution, maybe the FPS would come back.
Flatout Joint, where the mods were.

i5 2500, 8GB, Nvidia 660 960, SB Recon, Win 10 or Win7 64bit, DFGT Wheel

I got all settings on low and restarted the game, 4 FPS. I set it to Ultra again and restarted it and i got my 100 - 120 FPS back, strange bug  ???

And no, i haven't installed any mods yet  8)

But thank you guys  :D

I saw post like that over at Steam forum recently. A guy got low FPS with low settings, but then tried medium settings and got better FPS. You maybe right, there some kind of bug going on and Bugbear should look into this.

I think I will do some testing too when I get a chance.

K. I did some test today. First this what my normal FPS are on the new Gravel 1 track with these graphic settings:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg  ( used Fraps )
  7441,     90000,  57, 114, 82.678

FPS in the garage:

My FPS with low graphic settings:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
 11739,     90000,  79, 198, 130.433

FPS in the garage:

So with lower graphic settings, I got higher FPS. So would seem this bug is not a universal bug. So why are some getting low FPS using low graphic settings?

Hopefully this a fluke kind of bug.
