Author Topic: What is the Vexter XS based off?  (Read 1579 times)

Here is my opinion:

It is inspired by Opel's two sport coupés, the Calibra and the Astra Coupé. The Opel Calibra was built locally in Finland, where Bugbear is based, so they took inspiration from a local car and made it a lot more modern. They might've taken some inspiration from the Saab 9-3 as well, judging by some features. The Saab 9-3 would DEFINITELY be one of the Vexter XS' inspirations, as Finnish people are fans of Saab cars, I believe. I think when designing the Vexter XS, Bugbear thought of the old Saab 9-3 or the Saab 900, but they turned it into a MODERN Saab 9-3 coupé just to fit with the Street class. It is not a Saturn Ion, as that car was not very well-known and that it was not sold in Finland. The Vexter XS has a V6 engine, 6 gears and two doors only, something that both versions of the Ion don't have. Also, if one inspects the interior in ZModeler (FlatOut 2 version), they will find that the gauges are over the steering wheel, not in the center of the dash like with the Ion.

Any developer, please tell me the truth.
