It does work, but you need to restart the game to apply the setting (automatically forced now).

That's how vsync should work unless you mean it never gets up to 60fps again when it has dropped below?

Say I'm running above 60 FPS and I dip to 52-57 FPS for awhile and then FPS go back above 60 and FPS is cap at 60 FPS. That how normally vsync works?

But in Wreckfest in the past, if FPS rate drop below 60, game would cap you at 30 FPS!!

I've checked the setting in the game and the Nvidia control panel and haven't found anything that might lock the game at 30. Is this happening to anyone else?

Just did some testing of vsync and it seem to work at capping my FPS at 60. But could not trigger the 30 FPS cap. I don't know if you got get under 30 FPS to trigger the 30 FPS cap.

I tried on Speedway 2 and Mixed 1. If I get my car to start in back with a bunch of cars in front of me, I could hit 30-32 FPS, but could not get 20 something and still get over 60s FPS at other parts of the track.

So maybe vsync fix if can keep FPS above 30 FPS. But I think you should leave vsync disable unless you seeing graphic tearing. No graphic tearing here with my 960, so vsync disable.

I turned on vsync and restarted the game, the FPS cap at 60 frames OK, but I see the SCREEN TEARING>very strange? I turn off vsync in the game and turn it on in the Nvidia control panel and I get normal vsync: 60 fps cap without screen tearing. Your (in-game) vsync works very strange.

If you drop under 60 it should instantly drop you down to 30.. Adaptive vsync doesn't drop you to 30.

Here's explanation of those two https://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/adaptive-vsync/technology

I can confirm that, same on my system (i5 7500, 1070GTX, win10 64 bit, latest updates & NV driver).

So, no, in-game v-sync not working correctly, but with NV control panel override its ok  :)

That's what I'm talking about. But they changed the message icon as "no issue".
p.s. And I did not update the nvidia driver lately.
