Number of cars remaining

I'd like to see some kind of on-screen display during a race showing the number of cars still 'alive'. As it is now you have to count the number of wrecked 'corpses' as you pass by them.

It wouldn't have to be anything elaborate. Maybe the words "Still Running" and the number, or boxes for each car that disappear when that car is wrecked.

Just a thought.

Actually there already is something like that in game.. To the left of the screen where you can see All the drivers name, laptimes, what car they have, Ping and if they went DNF or not

On derby games, where the main plan is wrecking, there are numbers for that. On rally, racing, no need of those numbers.

That's something I'd like to see too, I think that people who care about the remaining number of cars is the people who play to destroy the biggest number of vehicles, which I do every time

Not in my case (except demos of course). I try to survive as long as I can and finish the best I can.

I'd like to know

1) How many people are racing behind me.

2) What's the worst I can finish.

Work online too, I use it all the time. But does cover minimap now, But don't use it much any way.

The position-order UI on the left side of the screen can be expanded to show all drivers. It also shows how many seconds ahead/behind you they all are or says DNF if they've wrecked. This can be expanded, compressed (down to 4 rows), or hidden by pressing down on the D-Pad on Xbox, so I'd assume it works the same way on PlayStation.

That said, I'd have no qualms with them adding in a "Drivers Remaining" number in an alternate color and smaller font underneath the race/derby position numbers.

I'd also be fine with them introducing a small "kill feed" of sorts in the top right corner for any instance that a player wrecks their car (or is wrecked by another player). Something simple like "Hemibreaker (HammerHead) has wrecked" if they crash out or "RebelRat (SpeeDemon) was wrecked by Fast Freak (Grand Duke)" when their race is forcibly ended by another player.

This seems really good, also similarly I could really use a indicator or HUD item, or a UI element. To help distinguish who is in first(1st)-place in the race. You can be following a group of vehicles yet unable to tell who/which is actually ahead of you in the race. Some pointer, or floaty number any indication showing who is 1st or 2nd, & 3rd at least.

I think that would be a good idea for off-line races.

Unfortunately, to some on-line players showing who is leading would be like putting a big neon sign on that car saying "please wreck me".
