Wait a sec... Bugbear? .. Carmageddon IP? .. these two legends under THQ now? Could it be what I think? A new Carmagedon game in the future? Can't tell, but would love so!

That would be great! I loved Max Damage, but it could have been a lot better in some areas and should have had more support.

If they decide to do more Carmageddon I hope they focus a bit on the performance this time around. The last game could not run well at any settings what so ever at my rig, which is in the mid-range with a 1060 geforce card.

Gonna be TDR2000 all over again if a different studio develops a new game
Actually in this article:
Needles Kane said:
“As an independent developer we have invested a huge amount of time and money into the brand since reacquiring it in 2012, but we have never had the resources to maximise its exploitation. It is our intention to work with THQ Nordic moving forwards, allowing Carmageddon to find its rightful place in the video games pantheon.”

Maybe it won't be another new studio working on a new one if there is going to be one soon.

Looking at ReinCARnation and Max Damage, I think it might not be a bad thing that Nordic bought the rights to the series. I haven't played them, but they really look like terrible nostalgic cash grabs.
