  • The player starting credits (10 000 CR) are now correctly awarded when launching the game for the first time.
  • Credits rewarded during an online session are no longer lost when terminating the game (instead of quitting properly) while in lobby.
  • Added guards to prevent the save data from becoming corrupt.
  • (XB1X) Resolution can be now changed in the Settings menu between Full HD and 4K.
  • (PC) The game now attempts to remove the bogus read-only flag from the save data files that caused the game not to launch.

What has happened with the clutch? All of a sudden it's super delayed, even though the game detects an instant 0-100% input from the clutch button. And messing with the clutch settings doesn't seem to do anything at all. Every time you go for a gear change you're hitting the rev limiter for a good second before the clutch is realesed and you continue to accelerate, all while you accually realesed the button ages ago. The controls just feels really sloppy now compared to how tight and precise it used to be in previous updates.

I have tried to switch to an analog input of some sorts but considering I don't have a wheel, this becomes tricky. Please Bugbear, fix this!

Actually they changed it after getting several complaints about people abusing it to gain an advantage at race starts...

Have they really said that? Because that seems like a weird fix for that perticular problem. Besides, the starts feels unchanged, the real difference is down the track. It feels, like I said, sloppy and lazy. In real world racing you bangshift all the time....

Well, they also said that every feedback is welcomed after the change so they might tweak it in the next update...

Love the new Rebelrat Car with the big spoiler. I missed the big spoiler the Roadcutter used to have. I'm also glad I could upgrade parts so that I can compete with it online, as you don't want the DLC cars to be OP but you also don't want the free cars to be so much better that they beat you every time. You want them to be fairly even.

I really like the tail lights, even if they don't last very long, they are awesome. I loved the tail lights on the Speedbird with the original game and would love to see you add tail lights to some of the existing cars. :)

I was almost not going to get it because I wasn't sure whether it would be like the last one where you couldn't upgrade armor or parts. Would have been so great if I could have put more armor on the Monster Buggy (Bugzilla). :)

Dang...I've lost the only edge I had against the Hand Controller racers...lol:). Being able to release the clutch then accerate at the exact right time on the start grid was a challenge to get right, but when you did you gained a small head start on the field, although it did not last long as the faster racers always caught up anyway...lol.
I use a Steering Wheel and Pedal set with H-Pattern Shifter and Clutch set in the Game settings as this is a lot slower but more of a challenge to drive the vehicles...oh well, it's not about winning anyway for me personally.

So , atleast for me. Using a clutch is pointless now. Forget power shifting . Driver shifts like he's got a broken wrist. And to anyone who says 'manual OP' , YES that is as it should be , no automatic car can keep up with a stick . Especially with old beaters. Sorry for ranting but, untill the clutch delay is reversed or toned down , i cant play. The only delay sould be how fast your foot can stomp the pedal. My Manual roadslayer gt feels like a stock automatic now ffs. I was so psyched about bangin' gears too...

I had no problem with the clutch as is was, just wanted high rev damage for those that run in the red for so long. Then it should definitely even the playing field, IMO. I personally use a controller w manual shifting without a clutch, and was constantly in the red without any penalty. That's not fair in my book. These old V8s would definitely be feeling that come round lap 5 and and possible loss of some fluids. Just my 2 cents. ✌
