I finally got 3 Jump Ramps Fig8 stable again with current Build of Wreckfest, after having to put track on hold back in Feb. :)



Had to get new ghost arrow sign from End, BIG thanks End. Found out my prop_forest5_startlights1.scne file was crashing the track. So had to go steal updated file from End's Very TrackPack. And the object giving me the most trouble was the prop_turnblock.scne object you see on the outside of the round abouts in pic above. For some reason the Stuntfest turnblock like crashing my new fig8 track. Sometime track loads, sometimes it don't with the turnblock object. What real strange, exact same object work fine in Fig8 Derby Ramp Jump track.

So I remove the Stuntfest turnblock object and used some metal containers to mark the outside of the round abouts:



The AI were coming up short on the second jump, not clearing the concrete wall and ended up just sitting there banging car against the wall. I got idea to use the reset wall End made me for the A to B track and place reset walls in front of concrete wall get AI to reset and get pass the concrete wall. :D

Zeb suggested I use the flying banner from End's Red Pike Race 2017 to make 3 Jump Ramps Fig8 track a little more dangerous. These flying signs move up and down. Also don't hit the propellers or your car going to go flying across the track map!!

Can you make the jump between the 2 signs moving up and down?



You may land your car on top of sign and get struck there untill another car come along and knocks you off.

I want get one more new Fig8 track done before this Saturday's Saturday Mods Night. Here a couple of pics of new track:






I got to thinking, Speedway 2 loop had all that empty space in the infield, be a good spot for a fig8 crossing. Track design has 2. :D

Now fun part, doing aisectors and checkpoints. Should be a little easier, going use the existing aisectors, then add the new sectors to the middle. So half the work on this new track done already.

I will have to move some barriers and block some track, but track should not be to tough do except for doing the AI sectors by hand. :p Here link to a video how the track goes:


It might be awhile before I can get all this done, maybe by Thanksgiving.

I did take a look at new Sandpit 1 track tonight Daystar and I see I still can make a track like the one in pic above. :) Will have get rid of some auto reset areas thou. And it going be a couple months before I can get back to doing fig 8 tracks. Got to update GoKart Raceway Plus and Cops and Robbers mods first.

Hey Daystar, I ready to give your Sandpit 1 fig 8 track idea a go. :D



I just took a spin on my Suicide version of Sandpit 1 track which has most the rails and reset areas removed and I think I can uses parts of Sandpit 1 Suicide Hairpin, like the wall ride:



And the bridge and up the valley wall in Sandpit 1 Suicide Killer Robbers:




Track will have 3 crossings and 2 turn-abouts. Part on track, part off track. No suicide parts. Just got survive the crossings and jumping car between the trees at top of valley. :)

New fig8 route I working on for Boulder Bank:




Got objects place, now to do all them aisectors by hand, except I do get to use the aisectors from original track too. :)
This was a track idea from Gone in 60 seconds, but I added a few more crossings. ;)

Got new Boulder Bank Quad Fig8 track done.


I had a little trouble with a checkpoint not showing. But thanks to Mazay's
ai route visualizer v0.12, I was able to see I had a bad midpoint coordinates.



This what my aisectors and checkpoints look like when I got done:




Can race this new track online Sat, Feb 8, 7:00pm pacific. This months Sat Night Mods night, hosting my Fig8 and Suicide custom track mods.

Update: Feb 8 @ 6:35am

Change notes:

* Re-tweaked Extreme Fig8 track to work again with current version of Wreckfest. The 2D spectators were invisible, so had to replace them with 3D spectator versions. And End sent me a new Dakar base file with half the palm trees and rocks remove and trackmap solid again. Save me having to do it by hand, delete one at a time! Thx End. :)

* A few of the tracks, with guardrails were ghosting, So had to load new collision files to get them solid again. But the Pinehills Raceway Fig8 track, I was unable fix, for now.

Note to self: New fig8 track idea, take 3 of End's Rock Bottom trackmaps and use them to make One Big Ass Offroad Fig8 track.

Put the left and right trackmaps at an angle to the middle trackmap for the transition and make track Bigger.

Also use End's hammer!

Thanks to F-Bomb, we got a new custom car for my Fig8 track mod, the Monster Hammer! :)








Also there a lot of custom skins to pick from. :) Thanks to F Bomb, tattoo, shadylerker, fittytrey, and xicynx. :)

Here a look at my newest fig8 track, finish placing objects tonight:




This track is base on this track idea from Cueballs888:



This track is on a side of a mountain, beware of rolling your Monster Hammer like I did in pic and car rolls down the side the mountain!

A BIG Thank YOU goes out to Mazay for turning Blender into a track editor I can use!!!! Blender now can load a terrain trackmap thanks to Mazay!! :) And for giving me a BIG helping hand getting me use to using Blender! :)

OK, my Fig8 track mod has been updated with the new track and F Bomb Monster Hammer ( go to the stock hammer to pick the new car and pick a skin ) Now get some practice with the Monster Hammer on the new Cueballs Fig8 track!

Will be hosting my Fig8 and Suicide track mods this coming Saturday. May 9. Go here for the details, post #188:

Just did a final update of Fig8 mod to get it ready for tonight's Sat Night Mods night.

Change notes:

* Added new custom skins from Zeb for the DLC Wildking car. :)

* Added some "extra" stuff to the new Cueballs Fig8 track. ;)



Can pick your own car color with this one :)

Also did an update to my Suicide track mode, had to remove my exploding straw bales. They are now crashing current Build of Wreckfest. :(

Fig8 mod has now been updated with Zeb track idea: Rockfield Zeb Fig8 and I went through all Fig8 tracks and repaired missing objects, did some tweaking.
