Okay, I'll edit this post now because I've just seen the screenshots and the video on NCG's site. Really promising stuff, damage looks amazing. :D

Will it be anything like FlatOut UC because that is my favourite racing game ever
No, it's going to be like Hello Kitty Adventure Island. ::)

The only game I've ever pre-ordered in my life is Skyrim. This is about to be #2.

Best of luck with the development guys.

Matt

*edit* done!

Always look both ways before crossing the street.
In all honesty, the one thing that I'm really looking forward to is seeing what an awesome team can do when it has creative freedom to do something different, with the freedom to do it all *your* way.

For such an awesome game studio to have the balls to step outside of the mainstream and into unknown territory with something that us (the fans) really want is a brave move - I can't wait to see where it goes and I can't wait to play something that I know hasn't been watered down by publishers or third parties who have no interest in the gameplay or vibe that we are all looking for.

I know you guys aren't just guessing at this stuff, you know your thing. You know where the sweet spot is for this type of game and you know the vibe that we're all looking for.

I believe in your team and I know you will do a good job with this game. It's going to be a lot of fun to see where you take us 8)

I'm so tempted! My wallet is gonna hate me so much.
Promise me one thing though: consider snowy/icy tracks.

stunned, the damage looks so much better than i was expecting it to be. brilliant work :)
kudos for mentioning this type of game is what the fans want, and not wanting to appeal to the masses etc

the range of cars looks interesting, hopefully the smaller stuff will bend more than the larger muscle looking cars. one thing i noticed about the damage though, was the rear and front of the car not bending upwards or downwards much (bending up/down the chassis) - roof, and door body damage looks brill though

the garage inwhich the cars are being stripped down looks exciting too - hopefully custom paint will be possible ;)

When it comes to (cosmetic) damage I still find Burnout Paradise the most amazing but this looks very decent as well.

looking awesome already! i love the work you folks do. yeah dont listen to the publishers, do your own thing cause we love it. We dont care about a story line to be put into this, we just want to race cars and smash them to bits! looking forward to the carnage!

One question, will it be on steam? :)

Can't wait to have again the fun I had playing FlatOut 2 and Ultimate Carange on PC, hope this one will be even better! Gonna preorder it :)

Really great to see your enthusiasm, everyone!

The front and rear ends of the cars do bend upward and downwards quite considerably on heavy impacts, but of course it depends on the impact angle. We're still pretty much looking for the sweet spot because too much visual damage on the vertical axis does look pretty funky if the car is still drivable.

Regarding Steam, all options are still open.

Preordered! :D That's my second ever. I only do that when a game generally starts to excite me, plus I want to support this new series as best I can.

Thanks for the reply, that's really great to hear! Understand the complexity of it, but it'll definitley pay off when you get it just right
By the sounds of it, no racing based game's had this amount of possible damage since Carmageddon 2 really? On the subject of damage, this is a pretty exciting time with NGC, Carmageddon Reincarnation and BeamNG all in development, with damage and physics all being the main talking points about them

Just noticed one of the backgrounds on the website :D perfect
